Since the beginning of CICM, the main focus has been on church planting and sharing the Gospel with the unreached people in India.
India is located within the 10/40 window that is home to the majority of the world’s unreached people groups. The Christian population is less than 1% in CICM’s focus areas of Central and Northern India, as well as several neighboring countries. In this region, more than 88% of the people groups have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
CICM has a team of dedicated church planters who regularly start new ministries in these unreached regions. Many were trained at CICM’s Leadership Training Centers- Central India Biblical Academy (CIBA), Darjeeling International Biblical Academy (DIBA) and the Delhi Center. Others earned ministry and theology degrees from colleges and seminaries in India.
With God’s help, over 1,000 churches have been planted in these countries and more than 265,000 unreached people have heard the Gospel because of CICM’s church planters. CICM’s outreach programs now extend to 11 states of north and central India and 3 neighboring countries.
Most church planters serve more than one congregation. Throughout the week they share the Gospel and help provide for the needs of the people in the villages they serve. These church planters also help identify children who may be either rescued and/or sponsored through the Children’s Ministry.
Many church planters are also involved in CICM’s Prison Ministry and visit prisons throughout India. They preach to the prisoners and correspond with those who have a desire to learn about Jesus. The prison ministry also teaches and ministers to many family members of prisoners.
You can help support and grow this ministry by supporting a church planter with a gift of $250 a month.
